Refined brand guidelines and website design for business activation experts Blue Touch Paper
We already had an established set of brand elements to work with that didn’t require any development. This was a case of streamlining and combining the assets to make a more cohesive brand look and feel.
Website
Working closely with the web developer, we built a comprehensive website that had evolved from a neglected landing page. From start to finish, I led the creative aspect of the project – implementing all UI elements, visual content & styling from Figma. As well as rationalising the UI journey; ensuring the development and build met expectations.
Given the niche nature of the business, the main challenge of the project was populating the website pages with the right amount of content, so as to not overwhelm the user with long passages of text. We quickly learned that copy was going to be in abundance, so we established an over-arching layout style that could be applied to the 3 different arms of the company, retaining consistency across the site. Content would be distributed into defined sections throughout these pages – utilising an overlay ‘card’ style system featuring interactive elements such as accordions, to minimise page length and display content in a hierarchal manner.
The end result is a clean, uncluttered website that has brought BTP up to modern web standards and enabled them to expand their outreach and increase business contracts.
The redesign of the website incorporates a user-friendly card style system to distinguish each section of content.
